Laggan - enjoy a digital-detox holiday
Laggan is a unique self-catering cottage as it has no electricity, and cannot be reached by road.
Relax in the soft, romantic glow of paraffin lamps and converse instead of slumping in front of the telly. Laggan sleeps five (as long as the fifth is either a child or a non-claustrophobic adult), and has much for those who love wildlife, the outdoors or just pottering about on the beach. Fresh air, sea views, seals, red deer, shags, divers and white-tailed sea eagles... It offers a fantastic family holiday like no other.
It may have no electricity, but this pretty little house is warm and built for the climate. There is a calor gas fridge (when did you last hear the phrase “I'm just off to light the fridge”?) and a calor gas cooker, so you can have Ice in your G+T and a hot dinner after all. It has two wood-burning stoves which keep the house snug, and when the paraffin lamps are lit in the evening, if anything, it can be warmer than it needs to be!
The house is within a stone’s throw of the sea, it has magnificent views across the bay and out to the islands of Eigg, and Muck. It is only readily accessible by boat.
